ENTERPRISEWHAT DOES BYEP WISH TO ACHIEVE UNDER THE ENTERPRISE STRAND?Vision: To enable young people predominantly from black and ethnic minority background to acquire business-related information and resources to achieve their ambitions. In the area of Enterprise, BYEP aims to equip and provide the necessary infrastructure for young people to nurture their business ideas to fruition. We will also provide the platform for young people in the community to pilot their projects. BYEP seeks to identify the needs and desires of our aspiring entrepreneurs within the community to help their cause through workshops, mentoring and development programs. HOW WE AIM TO ACHIEVE THIS:Enterprise WorkshopWithin the next 5 years, BYEP plans to continue the ongoing research in underprivileged communities to identify the potential of and challenges faced by young people. The outcome of this research is to design and deliver practical projects and activities that address the needs of young people to help potential young entrepreneurs to strive to achieve their goals. This year, BEYP will be pioneering the enterprise project called: CAN'T GET ONE, START ONECan’t Get One, Start One is an enterprise workshop where we will be securing a panel of experts in business start-up and entrepreneurship to interact and inform a community audience on a range of relative issues in business.
